What “success” looks like

Before defining your concrete action plan, we need to determine what long-term success looks like for your brand.

We’ll paint this picture in a short text.

This first step will help us draw up a list of relevant objectives to achieve.

We now know precisely how you define success.

This articulation will help us develop the plan that will enable you to realize this vision pragmatically. In this first step, we’ll translate this definition into short-, medium-, and long-term objectives.

With this method, you’ll get a clear and precise idea of the objectives you must meet to achieve success.

Some objectives are common to all businesses and correspond to the objectives fulfilled by the Business Playbook’s frameworks.

We have deliberately chosen not to pre-fill it with the frameworks’ objectives to avoid overloading your objectives table.

It’s up to you to fill it in as you see fit.

<aside> ☝ When you ask yourself, “Have we achieved success?“ or “Are we successful?“ remember that these questions are not rhetorical.

In other words, they don’t expect a dichotomous (yes/no) answer.

Success is not a fixed state. It’s a gauge to be filled. The fact that you have 50 goals left doesn’t mean you haven’t achieved anything.

Measure your success by your ability to reach your goals, not by the number of milestones you have left on the road.

Enjoy the adventure. Appreciate your efforts and their results.
